At Seng Liy Holdings, we believe that sustainability and innovation must go hand in hand. Our purpose is not only to address industries’ needs but also to build a greener, more responsible future for generations to come.

My journey began with a strong foundation in manufacturing and business strategy, where I learned the importance of agility, operational excellence, and long-term thinking. These principles shaped the core of our group’s success.

In 2013, I co-founded Seng Liy Engineering to pioneer sustainable building materials that do more than meet functional needs—they promote a circular economy and support Malaysia’s green development goals. Today, as CEO of Seng Liy Holdings, I oversee the expansion of our group into new industries and markets, always guided by values of continuous learning, collaboration, and impact-driven leadership.

I believe that leadership is not just about driving growth, but about making meaningful change. Together, with our teams and partners, we are setting new benchmarks in environmental innovation and industry transformation.

Mr. James Tan Hun Koon

Skills, Working Experience and Expertise:
Mr. James Tan is the Chairman of Seng Liy Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and a Committee Member of MPMA Johor Branch. With over 18 years of experience in recycling and building materials, he is a visionary entrepreneur dedicated to advancing sustainability through innovation.

He founded Seng Liy Plastic Industry (M) Sdn. Bhd. to address PVC waste challenges, transforming plastic waste into valuable raw materials for the construction sector. His leadership later expanded into green building materials with the establishment of Seng Liy Engineering (M) Sdn. Bhd., which quickly became a major player in southern Malaysia.

As Chairman, Mr. Tan provides strategic oversight across the group’s subsidiaries, guiding business expansion while embedding ESG principles into every level of operation. His forward-looking leadership continues to drive the group’s mission of building a sustainable and circular economy for the future.

Ms. Zen Tan is the Chief Executive Officer of Seng Liy Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and an influential figure in the business community, serving as Central Committee Member of YEC ACCCIM, Deputy Chairman of JACCCI YEC, Council Member of JBCCCI, and Chairman of the Youth Committee.

With extensive experience in business strategy, operations, and corporate development, Ms. Tan is a visionary leader who drives sustainable growth through innovation and strategic foresight. She oversees the group’s overall direction, guiding subsidiaries across recycling, sustainable building materials, and advanced manufacturing.

Under her leadership, Seng Liy Holdings has strengthened its market presence and expanded its regional footprint, aligning profitability with ESG principles and long-term sustainability. Ms. Tan’s forward-thinking leadership continues to drive the group toward becoming a catalyst for green transformation across Southeast Asia.

Mr. Kelvin Wong Heng Tat

Skills, Working Experience and Expertise:

Mr. Kelvin Wong Heng Tat is a seasoned financial strategist with over 16 years of experience in accounting, audit, and corporate finance. A graduate of Curtin University of Technology, Western Australia, and a Certified Practising Accountant (CPA Australia), he brings deep financial insight and strategic acumen to the group’s growth and sustainability agenda.

He began his career with KPMG Johor Bahru and PwC Singapore, gaining strong expertise in financial audits, risk management, and regulatory compliance for multinational corporations. His diverse experience spans property development, construction, manufacturing, logistics, and oil & gas.

As Chief Financial Officer of Seng Liy Holdings Sdn. Bhd., Mr. Kelvin oversees financial strategy, corporate governance, and risk management across the group’s subsidiaries. His leadership ensures long-term financial health, operational efficiency, and sustainable business expansion.

Mr. Lee Yeong Siong

Mr. Lee Yeong Siong is the Chief Operating Officer of Seng Liy Holdings Sdn. Bhd. With an Advanced Diploma in Accounting (CIMA Stage 2) and over 30 years of experience in operations, procurement, finance, and strategic management, he is a results-driven leader recognized for his expertise in operational excellence and sustainable process optimization.

His experience spans oil and gas, advanced green manufacturing, and construction solutions, where he has consistently driven cost efficiency, productivity, and organizational growth. At Seng Liy Holdings, he oversees group-wide operations, leading process improvement, cost management, and sustainability initiatives that strengthen overall performance and scalability.

Mr. Lee’s leadership combines analytical precision with operational insight, ensuring that the group’s manufacturing and business operations remain efficient, innovative, and aligned with long-term sustainability goals.

Mr. Sam Ng Wei Seng

With over 12 years of experience spanning petrochemical trading, FMCG, and construction, she is a marketing strategist recognized for driving growth through innovation and sustainability.

At Seng Liy Holdings, Ms. Heidy leads the group’s marketing and brand strategy, embedding circular economy principles to align profitability with environmental responsibility. Seng Liy’s ecosystem spans recycling, sustainable building materials, advanced production, premium wood composites, and digital platforms, creating a complete value chain that transforms waste into resources.
